Keynote Speaker, Darlene Anderson, Teacher & Performer
Tour of the Center with Art Center Student, Anneliese
A Few Words from our Director, Joella Oldfield
Thank you so much for joining us in our most unusual Celebration of Fred’s Birthday. We hope you enjoyed a bite of breakfast and a good cup of coffee while you listened to our speakers.
These are most certainly uncharted waters for the Art Community as well as us as individuals. It is with heavy hearts that we have temporarily closed our doors, but the health of our students, teachers, volunteers and each of you is our primary goal. We have Faith that we will be back in full swing by summer and watching all our happy students once again flourishing through exposure to the arts.
In the meantime, our teachers are tirelessly trying to get their classes online for the children. Our hope is that they can continue to explore and create during their time away from class. Their imaginations must not be dampened so we are striving to keep artistic explorations within their reach. Thanks to our Breakfast Sponsor, Fire Sprinklers, Inc. we will be able to get classes online.
Fred would be so proud of the kids and so humbled by all your support! In these trying times more than ever we need your help. Every dollar we raise in the next 5 days will go directly to keeping our Art Program available for every child.
If you would like to donate with a check, please send it to

“No one can get an education, for of necessity, education is a continuing process.”
~ Louis L’Amour
Since a bright spring day back in 1918, Fred Oldfield had experienced life in the American West to its fullest and dedicated himself and his art to sharing that western artist heritage with art lovers of all ages, inspiring and informing coming generations about this important part of our history. Western Art, like Jazz, is truly a uniquely American form of artistic expression. Fred was one of the last “cowboy artists” and felt a deep responsibility to impart his experiences and encourage exploration through art.
