Featured in a PBS Documentary “Wranglin’ Art” with fellow Western Artists John Clymer, Glenna Goodacre, and Fred Fellows.

Starred in a 13 week series of teaching videos titled “Painting the West.”

Fred annually painted and donated a painting for the Washington State Fair’s Scholarship Fund.

Participated in a show featuring 15 American Cowboy artists at Chatsworth Castle in Derbyshire, England and at the American Embassy in London.

Participated in every “Mural in a Day” on the first Saturday of June in Toppenish, WA.

Asked to paint the longest outdoor mural in the US, in Toppenish, WA. He named the historical mural “Haller’s Defeat.“
1990
Invited again to paint another mural in Toppenish, which he named, “Christmas on Logy Creek.”
1991
His third mural in Toppenish was titled “ At the Peak of Harvest”.

75th Birthday Retrospect – a One-Man Retrospect at the Frye Museum, Seattle, WA

Was Featured in a “One-Man Retrospect” at the Western Washington State Fair titled “One Mans West” in Puyallup, WA

A Triumvirate show at the Frye Museum with Josef Scaylea and James W. Washington

The Fred Oldfield Western Heritage and Art Center opened in Puyallup, WA
2003-2018
Honored by the City of Puyallup, WA, city of Federal Way, WA, King County, Pierce County, and the State of Washington on his 85th, 90th, 95th, and 100th Birthday. March 18th 2003 and 2008 were made “Fred Oldfield Day” by a State Senate resolution

Starred in his own documentary – “Fred Oldfield – America’s Cowboy”
2012
Invited to hang three (3) pieces at the opening of the new wing of the Tacoma Art Museum for the Haub Family Collection of Western American Art. His work hung there for one (1) year.
2017
Featured on KOMO TV’s Eric’s Heroes with Eric Johnson; “Fred Oldfield, Cowboy Artist
Generated over a million dollars with his paintings which he donated to various charities across the nation. He gave away half his paintings to charities to be auctioned, usually to benefit children.
